Artist Tree House 

Our client for this home is an artist looking for a peaceful place to create art in her home. The site is located in a Hardwood Hammock where the site has a limited footprint for development. The site is also in a flood zone, meaning that the addition needs to be elevated from the ground. Our solution is to create a bridge connecting to the existing home that leads you to the studio space. The bridge has a glass facade with a wood batten screen to give the user some privacy and pick up the wood tones of the hardwood hammock. The studio is a small space, with an open layout, and floor to ceiling glass to immerse the artist into the lush landscape of the hammock.
