FIU AQUARIUS 2.0 OPTION A

For this option we are re-thinking the idea of the tube. This tube will undulate depending on its use,creating a more dynamic version of the tube. There is one large window
at the laboratory and the end of the vessel will have a dome shaped panoramic window, maximizing the view to the water. This option will have the capacity to float for relocation. Most of the space will be a single pressure vessel. It will have a wet porch, air lock, laboratory, sleeping quarters and will act as a vessel for decompression. There
will also be a capsule on site for astronaut training purposes.

FIU AQUARIUS 2.0 OPTION B

TOTAL CAPACITY: 10

This option consists of a Main Pod with 4 support pods. The main pod houses a wet porch, air lock, and sleeping/living quarters and will act as a decompression/pressure vessel. Two of the support pods will have ambient pressure laboratories with a wet porch. They will be utilized to observe coral and/or fish and will have tanks and microscope stations.A third pod will be a classroom pod to broadcast classes from under water. This pod will connect to the main pod through a tunnel. A fourth pod will be at a lower elevation for exploration in deeper waters. It will have its own decompression chamber, wet porch, and air lock. A series of circular stands will be provided between the pods and will be used to cultivate coral.

FIU AQUARIUS 2.0 OPTION C

TOTAL CAPACITY: 14 overnight + 10 visitors
In this option all pods will be connected without needing to exit to access all other pods, through use of tubes as walkways. Most spaces are ambient pressure with a 1 ATM. This is a modular system where additional pods can be added as needed over time. This model has:1 center/main pod housing a large wet porch, and lab that can be used for broadcasting.1 Habitation Pod consisting of living/sleeping quarters and decompression pressure vessel. 2 Laboratory Pods that will be utilized to observe coral and/or fish, and will have tanks and microscope stations. Equipment can be rotated in and out of the pod as necessary. 1 Classroom Pod with the ability to broadcast sessions live to the surface and room to accommodate ten students.
